Two Udmurtia officials hurt in road accident

Police are ascertaining the circumstances of the road accident

IZHEVSK, January 31 (Itar-Tass) — Two Udmurtia officials, Education Minister Andrei Kuznetsov and Minister for Youth Affairs Vladimir Solvoyov were hurt in a road accident in Izhevsk,a source in the regional administration told Itar-Tass.

"The road accident occurred at the crossroads of Borodina and Vadim Sivkov Streets at around 15:00, Moscow time, on Monday. A Ford Focus did yield to a Hyundai Sonata and the cars collided. The Hyundai driver and two passengers were injured.

The administration said the two ministers had been injured. "The injuries are not serious; they are OK," the administration official told Tass.

An Udmurtia law-enforcement officer said the Ford was driven by a 23-year-old road police Lieutenant. There has been no official confirmation of it as yet.

Police are ascertaining the circumstances of the road accident.
