VLADIKAVKAZ, January 29 (Itar-Tass) — The Trans-Caucasian Highway that connects Russia to South Ossetia has re-opened for traffic, a source at the Emergencies Ministry of North Ossetia told Itar-Tass.

The Trans-Caucasian Highway was closed until further notice from 23:00 Moscow time on Friday after a strong wind had drifted snow from mountain slopes and created a threat of avalanches.
