VLADIKAVKAZ, January 28 (Itar-Tass) —— The Trans-Caucasus highway connecting Russia and South Ossetia has been closed to traffic since 23:00 Moscow time on Friday, the Emergency Situations Ministry of North Ossetia told Itar-Tass.
Strong winds in the Alagir Gorge of North Ossetia moved snow masses from mountain slopes onto the road and increased the risk of avalanches. The road will stay closed until further notice.
