MOSCOW, January 25 (Itar-Tass) — Entrepreneur Mikhail Prokhorov has been registered presidential candidate.
The Central Election Commission took a decision to this effect on Wednesday.
Prokhorov became the fifth presidential candidate. He is the unique self-nominated candidacy who succeeded in collecting over two million authentic signatures for his support.
Earlier, the CEC registered Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, nominated by the United Russia Party; Gennady Zyuganov, nominated by the Communist Party; Sergei Mironov, nominated by A Just Russia Party; and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, nominated by the Liberal-Democratic Party.
