Aksyonov is currently director of an Agriculture Ministry department.

"On Wednesday, the SK's main office initiated criminal proceedings against director of the department for state policy in the agro-industrial sector and information under the Ministry of Agriculture Oleg Aksyonov, and against co-owner of RusInformServis news agency Alexei Trushin and other unidentified persons under Article 159, Part 4 of Russia’s Criminal Code /"fraud"/, Markin said.

Investigators said "Aksyonov, who earlier occupied the post of director of the Interior Ministry’s information department in the rank of Major-General, together with Trushn and other persons, committed a large fraud in collusion, which caused significant damage to a citizen."
