KISLOVODSK, January 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said he would leave politics carefully after finishing the fight against terrorism.
“If I fulfil the set tasks, I will leave politics carefully. It is a big pleasure and responsibility for me,” Kadyrov said on Monday, January 23.
“The republic is rebuilding itself, conditions are being created and the fight against terrorism is coming to an end. I think that when we finish this, they the question will arise when I can leave nicely,” he said.
At the same time, Kadyrov said this does not mean that he will not run for a new term of office.
“I did not say so,” he said, adding however that he would like to focus on his own business and family already now.
“I have already reached the age when I want to focus on my private life. I have a big family but cannot pay it much attention now,” he said.
