MOSCOW, January 19 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin is appointed as chairman of the military industrial committee under the Russian government. The relevant presidential decree was posted at an official Internet portal of legal information on Thursday.
“I decree to appoint Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin as chairman of the military industrial committee under the Russian government, vesting the latter with the right to submit to the president draft presidential decrees and resolutions on the issues, which are in the authority of the defence industrial sector,” the decree runs.
Sergei Ivanov headed earlier the committee. At the end of 2011 he was appointed as the chief of the Russian presidential staff.
