About 3,000 violations of election laws registered in State Duma polls of December 4

As many as 95 individuals have been brought to administrative liability

MOSCOW, January 18 (Itar-Tass) —— About 3,000 violations of election laws were registered during the elections to the Russian State Duma lower parliament house on December 4, according to an interim report delivered by Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika to President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday.

“In all, about 3,000 violations of election law have been registered by the time the report was drafted. Prosecutors have issued 1,300 official papers demanding to eliminate election laws violations, 760 protests against illegal legislative acts, and 700 warnings of inadmissibility of breaching the laws. As many as 95 individuals have been brought to administrative liability,” the report said.

According to the report, violations of norms of election commission formation were reported from the Altai and Krasnoyarsk territories, from the Leningrad, Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Pskov regions, and the Nenets autonomous area.
