Ukraine increases gas transit in 2011 to 104 bln c m

On the whole, trunk pipelines increased gas transportation, including to Ukrainian consumers by 4.7 percent to 156.9 billion cubic metres

KIEV, January 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine increase natural gas transit in 2011 by 5.6 billion cubic metres from 2010, bringing it to 104.2 billion cubic metres, Ukrtyransgaz said on Monday, January 16.

Gas transit to EU countries increased by 5.9 percent to 101.1 billion cubic metres. Transit to Moldova decreased by 2.4 percent to 3.1 billion cubic metres.

On the whole, trunk pipelines increased gas transportation, including to Ukrainian consumers by 4.7 percent to 156.9 billion cubic metres.

In December 2011, gas transit dropped from December 2010 by 14.6 percent to 9.2 billion cubic metres, including to 8.8 billion cubic metres to EU countries and to 357.2 million cubic meters to Moldova.
