DPRK promises to punish SKorea for “slanderous campaign”

The South Korean press offended North Korean people

PYONGYANG, January 14 (Itar-Tass) — The North Korea army and people “do not intend to withstand anymore the slanderous propaganda campaign, launched in South Korea”, says a commentary, circulated on Saturday by the KCNA news agency.

Pyongyang was especially indignant at allegations by the mass media of the South “on a dispatch to concentration camps of North Korean citizens who insufficiently displayed feelings of grief during the mourning events that lasted from December 17 to 29 in connection with the death of Kim Jong-Il”.

Moreover, KCNA continues, the South Korean press offended North Korean people, “calling sincere tears of grief of citizens of the country, saying farewell to their leader, as scenes that were rehearsed and planned beforehand”.

The South Korean instigators of the propaganda campaign, spearheaded against the DPRK, “can never cognize the depth of genuine feelings of grief, displayed by the military and people who followed the catafalque with the body of the country’s leader” during the final mourning march, notes KCNA.

“The army and people will make the South Korean puppet regime pay a high price for offending honour and dignity of the North Korean supreme leadership,” the commentary notes.
