KIEV, January 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine’s state budget for 2012 needs revision, President Viktor Yanukovich said at a meeting with candidates for the positions of chiefs of regional state administrations.
“We have agreed that most probably on the basis of the results of the first quarter we shall reconsider the budget,” the presidential press-service quotes Yanukovich as saying. “There are some aspects of this budget that I disagree with.”
In particular, Yanukovich said that representatives of both central and local authorities should exert every effort to develop the regions’ social infrastructures in 2012.
“You should finalize the social facilities – hospitals, schools and child-care centers and at some places repair housing and utilities infrastructures,” Yanukovich said, adding that he would personally control progress in implementing this instruction.
