BUENOS AIRES, January 13 (Itar-Tass) —— The KAMAZ truck of Andrei Karginov won its first stage at 2012 Dakar on Thursday and moved from the fifth to the fourth place after eleven stages. Dutchman Gerard De Rooy came fourth but retained the lead. Karginov is over two hours and 30 minutes behind.
Ilgizar Mardeyev on Kamaz came sixth and is now fifth in the general standings. Kazakh Artur Ardavichus who also drives a KAMAZ remains the third.
