Chavez calls murder of Iranian scientist imperialist terror

Venezuela, the communique reads, “confirms its close ties of friendship with Iran” and “expresses firm, clear and support for the great Persian nation”

CARACAS, January 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez called murder of Iranian scientist Ahmadi Roshan a demonstration of “imperialist terrorism.”

On Wednesday, Venezuela’s foreign ministry said that he “on behalf of the Venezuelan people and its government condemns this crime and expressed solidarity with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of continual selective murders.”

The communique calls for the people of the world “to raise their protest against imperialist terror aimed at creating a panic of people, which became a victim of the immoral politics of threat which contradicts international law.” Venezuela, the document reads, “confirms its close ties of friendship with Iran” and “expresses firm, clear and support for the great Persian nation.”
