The public meeting is planned from 13:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, and organisers have announced 300 participants

MOSCOW, January 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Moscow’s authorities approved a public meeting of the opposition in Chistoprudny Boulevard on Saturday January 14, first deputy of the department of regional security of Moscow Vasily Oleinik said on Wednesday.

Earlier, leader of the Yabloko Party Sergei Mitrokhin said that the authorities had refused the organisers explaining the decision by necessary works “to lay tiles” there.

“Neither the Mayor of Moscow or the department of regional security have refused the public meeting,” Oleinik said.

He explained that when the organisers had filed notification about the meeting, the works at the boulevard did continue there and were over on December 31.

“As of today, the organisation of the public meeting is approved,” the official said.

Oleinik added that the public meeting was planned from 13:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, and organisers had announced 300 participants.
