Belarusian GDP grows by more than 5 prc in 2011

Investments in fixed capital in 2011 increased by 13.3 percent to 90.8 trillion Belarusian roubles, which is equivalent to about 10.7 billion U.S. dollars

MINSK, January 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Belarus’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew in 2011 by more than 5.3 percent from the previous year, the National Statistical Committee said on Wednesday, January 11.

It said industrial production increased by 9.1 percent and agricultural production by 6.6 percent in 2011.

The committee said shipped innovative products accounted for 17 percent of all shipped products.
