MAKHACHKALA, January 11 (Itar-Tass) — One police officer was killed and three to six of his colleagues were injured in a blast in the village near the Komsomolsk settlement near the Kizilyurt town of Dagestan during an operation to defuse an improvised explosive device, a source in the republic’s Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The source said that preliminary information suggests that the bomb was found on Tuesday evening. Sappers are currently working at the site. There have been no reports so far about the details of the incident.
