TYUMEN, January 10 (Itar-Tass) —— An An-2 airplane made an emergency landing some 200 kilometers off the airport of the town of Nizhnevartovsk, Russia’s Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area or Yugra. No one was hurt, a spokesman for the Urals transport investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman, the plane with ten passengers onboard was making a flight from Megion to Korliki. When pilots spotted engine malfunctions they took a decision to land the plane off the airfield.
According to preliminary data, the incident was caused by a drop in oil pressure in the plane’s engine.
