MINSK, January 10 (Itar-Tass) —— A total of 13 Russian children have been hospitalized with gastroenteritis symptoms in Belarus’ Brest region, a spokesman for the Belarusian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“The children were taken to a hospital in the town of Lyakhovichi on January 9 with a preliminary diagnosis of gastroenteritis, or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. They are undergoing medical treatment,” the spokesman said.
The children, aged from eight to 17, came here from Moscow and the Moscow region for a team practice session. They were accommodated at a children’s sports school in Lyakhovichi. Catering services, according to the spokesman, were provided by a local private caf·.
