MOSCOW, January 8 (Itar-Tass) —One person was killed and three injured in a major road accident in the Istra district of the Moscow region.
A law enforcement source told Itar-Tass that “nine cars at a time collided on the 39th km of the Riga highway - eight foreign-made cars and a Renault truck.”
The source said that the accident happened at about 01:00, Sunday.
“A 27-year-old man died on the way to hospital after the collision, three other men, aged 28, 20 and 22, were injured,” according to law enforcement agencies. Two of the victims have bruises. “The condition of another injured is assessed as severe,” the source said.
The accident is being investigated. The causes of the road accident and the person responsible are being ascertained.
