MOSCOW, January 7 (Itar-Tass) — The death toll of the fire in Yakutia’s village of Amga rose to five, the republic’s investigative department told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
A criminal case was instituted on charges of fire safety violation.
The fire ripped through a two-storey apartment building in the village of Amga on January 5. The bodies of two women and two children were found in the rubble at the site of the accident.
Another woman, 80, died in a hospital.
After the tragedy 30 survivors moved to their relatives and friends.
The investigation is underway.
