VLADIVOSTOK, January 6 (Itar-Tass) – An earthquake measuring 3.9 points on the open-ended Richter scale has been registered in Russia’s Far-Eastern Amur region.
It occurred at 02:08 local time Friday /16:00 hours GMT Thursday/ in the Tynda district. Its seismic focus was identified at a depth 9 kilometers below the Earth’s surface, a duty officer at the Amur region branch of the federal Ministry for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense /EMERCOM/ told Itar-Tass.
The regional firefighting services dispatched teams of operatives for an assessment of the situation in the Tynda district. Their findings indicated there have been no victims or destructions, and all the socially significant facilities are functioning as usual.
