GORNO-ALTAISK, January 5 (Itar-Tass) —— One more earthquake occurred in Tuva on Thursday’s morning. It was registered at 07.58 local time (03.58 Moscow time). The epicenter of the earthquake measuring 3.8 points was situated in the Kaa-Khemsk region.
The information on destructions and victims is not available so far, press secretary of the department of the Ministry for Emergencies for the republic Luiza Sevil told ITAR-TASS.
According to her, the total number of underground jolts after the first powerful earthquake measuring 9.5 points, which also occurred in the Kaa-Khemsk region on December 27, exceeded 80.
In connection with the lowering of the seismic activity, the regional emergency situation regime was lifted in Tuva on Tuesday. All cultural and sports institutions began working there on Wednesday.
As the department of the Ministry for Emergencies reported, the monitoring of the seismic situation in the republic is being conducted round-the-clock.
