Construction of snow city to start in Moscow’s Sokolniki Park

The snow town will be built as part of the Moroz City Festival of snow architecture

MOSCOW, January 5 (Itar-Tass) —The construction of the first Russian snow city will start in Moscow on January 5. The snow city will appear in the territory of Moscow’s Sokolniki Park on January 10. Everything there will be made of snow and ice, including a hotel, a prison and fitness center.

The snow town will be built as part of the Moroz City Festival of snow architecture. Twenty teams of architects and 20 sculptors will build the snow town out of participate in the festival. A thousand cubic meters of snow, 500 blocks of ice and a territory of 2,500 square meters have been prepared for them.
