VLADIVOSTOK, January 4 (Itar-Tass) — The crew of the transport refrigerator Irina, which is in distress near the Kuril island of Kunashir, have transferred to the ship Tatarstan.
The press service of the Sakhalin Region center of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies announced, "On January 4, at 10:50. Sakhalin time, all the 19 crewmembers who had been aboard the transport refrigerator Irina were taken on board by the ship Tatarstan".
The transport Irina remains afloat. The future of the ship is under consideration.
