MOSCOW, January 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Railroad traffic in the Tula region, where a truck rammed a passenger train on Tuesday, has been resumed fully, a source at the Moscow railroad administration told Itar-Tass.
The accident delayed three passenger trains; the delay time varies from 30 to 60 minutes. Also the Donetsk-Moscow train No 188, whose traffic was disrupted by the collision with the truck, travels with a delay. “Traffic controllers will do their best to cut the delay as much as possible,” the source said.
“Passenger train Donetsk-Moscow No 188 has resumed its voyage. It is one hour and 25 minutes behind the schedule,” a source at the Central Region center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said earlier.
“The accident did not hurt train passengers and conductors,” he said.
The accident happened near the town of Kolna in the Chern district of the Tula region at 2:48 p.m. Moscow time. A KamAZ truck rammed the passenger train No 188 at the 313rd kilometer of the Moscow railroad. The truck driver died, and the locomotive driver’s assistant was hurt and taken to the hospital.
