MOSCOW, January 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated two-time Olympic ice hockey champion Alexander Yakushev on 65th birthday on Monday.
The congratulatory telegram posted on the Kremlin website reads,

Your mastery played a major role in many decisive battles of our ice squad. The fans remember well your perfect play in the Soviet Union-Canada super series in 1972.
