MOSCOW, January 2 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s biggest air carrier Aeroflot Russian Airlines will be the general transporter of the Russian national team at the summer Olympic Games in 2012 in London, according to the company’s director general Vitaly Savelyev.
According to earlier reports, Aeroflot is a traditional partner of the Russian Olympic Committee. Thus, at the last summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008, Aeroflot provided its services to about 2,000 Russian athletes, members of the official delegations and sports enthusiasts.
