Sobyanin appoints Resin as his adviser on voluntary basis

MOSCOW, December 29 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has appointed his ex-First Deputy Vladimir Resin as his adviser working on a voluntary basis, a City Council official told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

"By mayoral decision, Vladimir Resin was appointed to be Sobyanin's adviser to work on a voluntary basis for the duration of the Moscow mayor's term of powers," the City Council official said.

Early n December, Resin was relieved of his duties as First Deputy Mayor of Moscow in view of his transfer to a job in the State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament. Resin stood for election to the State Duma from the United Russia party. He is a member of Regional Group 77 -- the City of Moscow.
