MOSCOW, December 28 (Itar-Tass) — Workers are being evacuated from mines located in the Republic of Khakassia and Kemerovo Region in the wake of Tuesday's earthquake.
Speakers at the video conference, held late on Tuesday night, told Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu, "Coalmining personnel is being evacuated from the mines of Khakassia, with more than 55 percent being already evacuated".
Owing to the earthquake, workers are being also evacuated from Kemerovo Region collieries. The evacuation is to be completed within several hours.
