Volodin appointed first deputy head of presidential administration

GORKI, December 27 (Itar-Tass) —— President Dmitry Medvedev has appointed Vyacheslav Volodin as the first deputy head of the presidential administration. Prior to that Volodin was a deputy prime minister – head of the government staff, presidential press secretary Natalia Timakova said.

Volodin will be the successor of Vladislav Surkov, who has become a vice-premier.
