TSKHINVAL, December 27 (Itar-Tass) — Chairwoman of South Ossetia's Central Election Commission Bella Pliyeva said CEC has begun to on the new presidential election. "Starting today, the Commission may begin to register the support groups that propose contenders for the post of head of state," Pliyeva said.
On March 25, 2012, the republic will go to the polls in repeat presidential election. Earlier, the Supreme Court of South Ossetia annulled the results of the November 27 voting.
