Fire rips through Sverdlovsk region power plant, no victims reported

No disruptions in the power plant’s operation were reported. The plant was transferred to another source of power – gas

YEKATERINBURG, December 27 (Itar-Tass) — A fire broke out in an hangar of the Verkhnetagilskaya power plant on Tuesday, the press service of the Sverdlovsk region emergencies department told Itar-Tass.

No victims were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

The fire ripped through a fuel carrying hangar at 00:04 Moscow time. A coal conveyer belt at an area of 300 square meters caught fire. It took two hours for firefighters to put out the fire, the press service said.
