MOSCOW, December 26 (Itar-Tass) —— The deputies of the State Duma cannot expect a lax discipline, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said. “I ponder over civilized ways to make the discipline in the State Duma stricter and expect relevant proposals from my colleagues,” he said in an interview published in the Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily on Monday.
“I come out for the deputies to participate in the debates of all bills with the discipline and the knowledge of their work,” the speaker noted.
Naryshkin also noted that he is not concerned over many deputies, who are newcomers in lawmaking. “It seems to me that it is useful for any managerial staff to have experienced employees and young employees, which came to work with a big desire to achieve the result in the common work,” the speaker elaborated, noting that he is also a novice in some sense.
