Fire at Yekaterinburg largest marketplace grows to 3,000 square meters

The fireman’s condition is satisfactory. None of the market traders is injured

YEKATERINBURG, December 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The fire at the Yekaterinburg largest marketplace Tagansky Ryad has grown to 3,000 square meters. One fireman is hurt, a source at the regional emergency situations department told Itar-Tass.

The fireman’s condition is satisfactory. None of the market traders is injured.

“As of 4:30 p.m. Moscow time, the fire had been 3,000 square meters large. Two two-story clothes warehouses are ablaze. The firemen are trying to protect other warehouses from catching fire. Thirty-two fire engines and more than 150 firemen are at work. A fire train has been sent to the marketplace,” the source said.
