MOSCOW, December 25 (Itar-Tass) — Five Russians and three Indonesians were aboard the ship, flying the Indonesian flag, that got lost in the Laperuza Strait in the southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk, Itar-Tass learnt at the press service of the Russian Transport Ministry, referring to information from the State Marine Rescue Centre, subordinate to the ministry.
The bodies of three seamen were found at the time of writing.
The search operation involves rescue forces of Russia and Japan. The Transport Ministry specified that, according to data of the Japanese side, the lost ship is called not Atlas-3, as was reported earlier, but the GINGA. The ship owner is unknown.
