Man injured in road accident in Moscow is in heavy condition

MOSCOW, December 24 (Itar-Tass) — A man, who was injured in a road accident in northern Moscow, when the car rammed into a bus stop, is in heavy condition.

The road accident occurred at about 12:00 Moscow time on Saturday in Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street, a source in the Moscow police told Itar-Tass.

“A Volkswagehe road accident occurred at about 12:00 Moscow time on Saturday in Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Streetn Tuareg rammed in a bus stop at 73, Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street,” the source said. “Two people, who were waiting for a bus at the stop, were injured in the road accident. A 62-year-old man was hospitalized to the intensive therapy ward in heavy condition, a 16-year-old girl was also hospitalized with numerous fractures and is staying in stable condition,” the source said.

According to specified police reports, the driver is a Muscovite and drove the car on the power of attorney. He was detained at the incident site and was hospitalized with brain concussion and browses.

“The man did not have visual traces of the state of drunkenness, but will pass a relevant expertise at the hospital,” the police source added.

According to the preliminary reports in the Moscow police, “the driver noticed a man, which was crossing the road on the crossing without the traffic lights, and pushed on the brakes. As a result the car rammed into the bus stop.”
