Police deny reports access to Moscow protest action closed

“People have a free access to the rally,” The Russian Interior Ministry noted

MOSCOW, December 24 (Itar-Tass) — The Russian Interior Ministry denied some media reports that the access to an opposition rally under the slogan “For Fair Elections!” is closed on Academician Sakharov Avenue in downtown Moscow, spokesman of the Russian Interior Ministry Valery Gribakin told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

“People have a free access to the rally,” he noted.

Gribakin also noted that no people were detained at the protest action.

According to the latest police reports, 28,000 people are participating in the rally.
