NOVO-OGARYOVO, December 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has expressed satisfaction over Russia-Turkmenistan relations in the gas industry.
“We are aware of how uneasy the situation in the world markets is, especially so, because we have common interests as providers of gas,” Berdymukhamedov said. “It is very important we maintain permanent contact and coordinate our joint efforts in this field.”
Putin recalled that Turkmenistan was an old-standing partner of Russia. Trade turnover between the two countries grew by a third last year.
“We are very glad to see this positive trend,” he said.
