KIEV, December 23 (Itar-Tass) — Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said he pities his predecessor, Yulia Timoshenko, who was sentenced to seven years in jail.
“Naturally, I pity her. I know her personally and it is unpleasant for me that she is in prison,” he said in an interview with Larry King aired by the national UT-1 channel late on Thursday.
As for the presidential election in the United States, Azarov said it did not matter for him who would become the next president. “I am absolutely indifferent about who will be president in America. But I want that America does not have such a budget deficit, such an external debt, and I want a stable dollar,” he said.
