MOSCOW, December 22 (Itar-Tass) — President Dmitry Medvedev suggested introducing restrictions on deals between government bodies and companies run by officials' close relatives.

"I believe it expedient to place a restriction on transactions between government bodies and commercial organizations, where close relatives of heads of these government bodies have large stakes or executive posts," Medvedev said in his state-of-the-nation address to the Federal Assembly as the audience applauded his initiative.

"Regrettably, the number of such cases in this country is tremendous," Medvedev added.
