MOSCOW, December 21 (Itar-Tass) — According to information arriving from Yemen, four Russian citizens died in that country as a result of armed clashes, sources from the Russian Foreign Ministry report on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, there were among 36 Russian nationals undergoing training at the Dar Al-Hadeeth (Damaj city) religious centre. “From mid-November, that settlement has been in the zone of combat operations that volunteer corps of the Shiite tribal confederation al-Houssi carry out against government units and Sunnis fundamentalists,” the sources said.

“According to available information, 60 radicals were killed as a result of armed clashes, and some reports say there were four Russian citizens among them,” the sources said.
