Noone hurt in woodworking shop fire at shipyard

The nearby shop of building materials has been also gutted out almost completely as a result of the fire

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 21 (Itar-Tass) — The woodworking shop is on fire on an area of 50 by 80 metres at the shiprepairing yard here on Wednesday. Noone has been hurt and there has been no loss of life, an official at the Russian Minisry for Emergencies (RME) department for Kamchatka Territory has told Itar-Tass.

A message about the fire reached rescuers at 05:57, local time, Wednesday. The fire has been estimated as being of top level of complexity. Eighty firemen and 17 units of machinery are involved in the efforts to put out the fire.

According to the RME, the nearby shop of building materials has been also gutted out almost completely as a result of the fire. Specialists are now busy establishing the cause of the blaze.
