Factions agree on key posts at State Duma

"All decisions have been made. We've coordinated the posts; there are no disagreements," Morozov assured

MOSCOW, December 20 (Itar-Tass) — The working group on launching work of the 6th State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament has coordinated all the issues regarding the distribution of the key posts, head of the group Oleg Morozov, United Russia faction, told reporters on Tuesday.

"All decisions have been made. We've coordinated the posts; there are no disagreements," Morozov assured.

He explained that the working group had approved the composition of the Duma Council, agreed on the candidates of deputy speaker and the heads of the key house committees.

Under the coordinated decisions, the State Duma Council will comprise the speaker, his two first deputies - Alexander Zhukov from Untied Russia and Ivan Melnikov from the KPRF, the heads of the factions and six deputy speakers.

According to Morozov, the working group approved the decision to set up 29 committees. United Russia will chair 15 of them, the KPRF -- six and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) and Just Russia will chair four each.
