Rosaviatsiya annuls certificate of Dagestan Airlines

Russia’s federal aviation transport service, Rosaviatsiya, annulled the certificate of Dagestan Airlines

MOSCOW, December 19 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s federal aviation transport service, Rosaviatsiya, annulled the certificate of Dagestan Airlines.

The service published the information on its site on Monday.

The decision was caused by the investigation into a crash of a Tu-154M on December 4, 2010 at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport. The investigation revealed that the aviation company had installed counterfeit parts on the plane.

“The annulment of Dagestan Airlines’ certificate will not cause inconveniences for citizens and guests of the Republic of Dagestan,” Rosaviatsiya said. “Aviation carriers Kuban Airlines, Tatarstan, Rusline, VIM-Avia are operating or will start operating flights to Makhachkala.”
