PYONGYANG, December 19 (Itar-Tass) ——Kim Jong Il devoted all his life to implementation of the revolutionary course and ideas of the Juche Idea, he worked day and night in the interests of wellbeing of the socialist Fatherland, happiness of the nation, reunion of Korea and overwhelming independence, a joint statement of the DPRK’s Labour Party’s Central Committee and the its Central Military Committee, of presidium of the national parliament and the government reads.
The KCNA published the statement on Monday.
The document states with deep mourning the unexpected death of Kim Jong Il on December 17 during an inspection trip. The document is addressed to “all members of the party, the military and the nation.” For the Korean people, the death of Kim Jong Il is “a greatest loss, which happened as the country started an epoch phase of construction of a mighty and booming socialist country.”
The document calls Kim Jong Il as a “great person,” “outstanding philosophers and theoretic,” who “led the country along the victorious way of development and revolution.” He developed the DPRK “into an invincible political and ideological country, which has nuclear weapons.”
Presently, the document reads, “Kim Jong-un /junior son of Kim Jong Il/ is in the vanguard of Korea’s revolution. He is an outstanding leader of our party.” Under his leadership “we shall be able to transfer our pain into power and courage, to overcome the present difficulties and to achieve new great victory of the Juche revolution.”
“All members of the party, the military and the nation should follow devotedly the course of Kim Jong-un and strengthen their unity,” the statement reads.
