Medvedev wants worthy victory for Putin

“Our task is to do everything so that our candidate – Putin – wins the election, wins it worthily, and confirms the credit of trust which he has enjoyed for a long time”

GORKI, December 17 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Dmitry Medvedev urged the ruling United Russia Party to work for a ‘worthy victory” of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the presidential election in March 2012.

“Our task is to do everything so that our candidate – Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin – wins the election, wins it worthily, and confirms the credit of trust which he has enjoyed for a long time,” he told United Russia activists on Saturday.

Medvedev is sure “it will be so”. “It will allow us to continue the course of modernization, ensure succession in the political course, succession in social stability which was difficult to achieve, and economic growth,” he said.
