GORKI, December 17 (Itar-Tass) — President Dmitry Medvedev said the level of the Internet in the Russian political culture “is awesome low”.
At a meeting with the United Russia activists on Saturday, Medvedev said, “I believe that the nature of Internet is protest. And it is protest not only in Russia but also all around the world.” “It is normal,” he added.
“But the problem of our Internet is that its level in the Russian political culture is awesome low,” the head of state stressed.
“There is no need to love power and tell it about what you think. It is not even necessary to love the fellow creature although it is the Commandment of the Bible. But you should treat the fellow creature with respect and not demand his immediate execution,” Medvedev said.
“The thing is not only in power and the United Russia party,” the president said by riveting attention to interacting between Internet users with each others. “This is not the catastrophe. Enter the English Internet and you see the famous four buzz word often than we use our catchwords. This means that the level of interaction is another even when you don’t like your partner and don’t understand him,” Medvedev said.
He stressed, “We understand this not so quickly and we’re also growing up.”
He reiterated that the state was not planning to impose any Internet restrictions. “Of course, we will not forbid anything and we will not cut off anything. No Twitter is will be banned.”
“Let’s everything work as it worked earlier,” the Russian president said.
