Air passenger traffic in Russia was 20 million per year in the early 2000s

MOSCOW, December 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian airlines will transport 63-64 million passengers this year, Federal Air Transport Service head Alexander Neradko said.

“Passenger traffic has reached 60 million. The 13% growth forecast made in the beginning of this year is being confirmed,” he said.

Air passenger traffic in Russia was 20 million per year in the early 2000s, he said.

Neradko thinks that the industry will witness further growth in 2012.
