MOSCOW, December 15 (Itar-Tass) —— The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) plans to gather up to 10,000 people for a rally For Fair Elections on the Manezh Square in downtown Moscow on December 18. The action has been agreed with the Moscow city government, a spokesman for the city security department said on Thursday.
According to the spokesman, the rally will be held from 13:00 till 14:00 Moscow time.
The Moscow authorities have sanctioned a similar action to be staged by the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) on the Pushkin Square, also in downtown Moscow, on Saturday, December 24. It is expected that the rally will bring together up to 2,000 people and will be held from 14:00 to 16:00 Moscow time.
