BRUSSELS, December 14 (Itar-Tass) – Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Belgium Wednesday night. His jet landed at the Brussels National airport.
The itinerary of functions for Wednesday features only an informal dinner with the European Council President, Herman Achille Van Rompuy, and the European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso.
The main functions have been scheduled for Thursday. Medvedev and the EU leaders will get together at a working session, after which Medvedev, Van Rompuy and Barroso will continue their discussion at a working lunch.
Participants in the meeting will tell reporters about the results of their discussions at a news conference.
After Medvedev, Van Rompuy and Barroso answer the reporters’ questions, they will hold a meeting with participants in the Russia-EU Roundtable of Industrialists. This will be the last item on the itinerary of Medvedev’s visit to Belgium.
